Hi, I’m Ben and welcome to my guitar blog.
Lots of people all over the world would love to learn to play the guitar. Hopefully some information here will encourage you to get started.
Whether you just want to learn How To Play Tabs or your goal is how to play Spanish guitar music, you need to just start. Everyone has to start at the beginning.
Learning to play the guitar takes time and effort. From my experience, the less effort you have to make trying to figure something out, the better. It is much better to have someone show you exactly how to learn the guitar with clear, easy to follow steps.
It is a lot easier to learn how to play tabs than it is to spend years studying how to read conventional musical notation and for most guitarists, knowing how to play tabs is more than good enough.
You wont be the first person to discover the tips of your fingers are sore. It happens to everyone but not for long so just keep going. They will soon toughen up and the muscles of your hand will soon get used to the strange positions.
When trying chords it’s best to just hold it and once you have your fingers in the right position listen to see if all the notes are clear. Play each note and check for any buzzing sound which means your fingers aren’t quite right. Once again your hand is sure to hurt at first and the positions seem so strange. After a day or so, holding the chord will become easy – until you try and learn a new one.
I have no idea how many chords I know or play but if I try a new one, it seems very odd and uncomfortable at first. Just practice a little and it soon becomes second nature.
